Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet
Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet
Guided tour
The Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet gives children aged 6 to 10 the opportunity to live an immersive, engaging and fun experience. A guided tour, in a small group of eight, is organised every Wednesday afternoon and provides the youngest with an interactive introduction to the world of watchmaking by blending history, practical workshop and entertainment.
Diving into the history of the Vallée de Joux, the young visitors will learn how climate and natural resources led to the development of Haute Horlogerie in the region. They will then discover the first local watchmakers and their creations as well as the origins of Audemars Piguet’s founding families. After an overview of the main horological complications and several of the 300 timepieces displayed in the museum, the children will take on the roles of watchmakers for the duration of a practical exercise. The tour will continue with the visit of the Métiers d’Art Atelier which will undoubtedly make their eyes sparkle before concluding on a brief history of the Royal Oak, the brand’s iconic timepiece.
The visitors will also be able to admire the artisans at work through the transparent walls of the production workshops located at the heart of the museum’s unconventional, ultra-contemporary glass spiral-shaped pavilion, which is connected to the brand’s historical house.
Reserve your tickets now for this fun and memorable moment, which will immerse children in both the history of watchmaking and the cultural universe of Audemars Piguet.
